Chromosome staining/banding/FISH | Heterochromatic blocks occur mainly in centromeric regions of chromosome pairs (10, 11, 14), but also in terminal regions of some pairs (5, 8, 11). Ag-NORs terminally located in the short arms of the 2nd pair, which are in agreement with the location of the 18S rDNA hybridization signals. 5S rDNA sites are located in terminal region of long arms of chromosome pair 9. |
